Will I feel comfortable if I come alone?

Yes, in fact many guests come to wellbeing retreats alone and it’s a great opportunity to meet other people with the same interests and needs. Some have commented that they feel more free to ‘let go’ and open when they have come on our retreat on their own. You may even make life long friends during your stay.

What if I have 'special' dietary needs?

We send out a Guest Questionnaire form prior to the retreat start on which you can inform us if you have dietary needs or allergies. If you have any questions about our food, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

How do I prepare for my stay?

Try to reduce the amount of caffeine, alcohol, sugar and nicotine that you consume before your arrival. We also suggest you start increasing you intake of fruit, salads and vegetables (cooked or raw) from 1 week before. We recommend that you bring casual, comfortable clothing including some comfy shoes. Once at Raw Horizons retreat, we prefer that you do not dine outside in order that you gain maximum benefits from your stay and your package is fully inclusive of all meals and beverages.

What should I bring?

You will always feel comfortable in casual wear. Clothing should be practical, functional and comfortable. It is recommended to "layer dress" in the cooler months so you can discard clothing layers as needed. As your retreat may involve an outside walk we recommend you bring some walking shoes. A rain jacket is also advisable in the event of inclement weather. We will email you list of items we suggest you bring with you for your stay.

Do you have WiFi?

We have high speed WiFi throughout the house plus there is a good mobile signal with all networks. We understand the desire for a ‘digital detox’ during your stay but also appreciate the need to be contactable. We like to say although we are ‘secluded’, we are not ‘isolated’.

How do I book massages, therapies or private coaching sessions?

Our guests are able to enjoy an extensive range of healing and therapeutic services as optional extra treatments. Click Here to see our Massage & Therapy Menu.  It's best if you book treatments prior to arriving for your retreat so that we can accommodate all your requests with our local therapists.  We'll send you a link to our Booking Form and to our Guest Questionnaire prior to your arrival on which you can let us know if you have any special health or physical considerations that may affect your treatments.

Can I have a glass of wine with dinner?

We are an alcohol free environment and prefer that you do not bring your own alcohol. You will be surprised as how quickly you realise you can enjoy a meal without wine.

Can children visit your venue?

The minimum age for guests is 18 years for our Signature Wellbeing Retreats and 16 years for our Yoga & Relaxation Weekend breaks.

Are pets allowed on your retreats?

We do not allow pets to ensure that any guests with allergies are not compromised.

Can I leave the venue during my stay?

To ensure the full benefits and results from our programme, we prefer that participants do not leave the premises during their stay.

Why are your Retreat prices so reasonable when others are so much more?

We are able to offer exceptional value for money as unlike the majority of other retreat providers we actually own our venue, Split Farthing Hall. This means that we do not have to pass on the additional cost of hiring a suitable property. All our Retreat programmes offer great value for money as we are offering courses to educate and improve yourself. Our programs are planned in detail by Dr Claire Maguire and cover a wide variety of workshops and activities. This is a great opportunity to invest in yourself and if you give it 100% then you will succeed. Each retreat is exclusively for no more than 12 guests with personal attention and support within luxury surroundings and accommodation.

What if there are changes to the retreat timetable?

We offer fixed programmes which all guests are encouraged to take part in. The programme timetable is understandably subject to change at little or no notice due to weather conditions, staff availability and other circumstances which are often beyond our control.

Is my personal data protected?

Yes. We will only use the personal information you provide to us to enable us to provide the services that we offer or to inform you about similar services which we provide unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Are you affiliated with any organisations or religious groups?

No, we are not affiliated with any organisations. We keep a neutral spiritual focus for our retreats and do not teach any set spiritual or religious way.
