We understand that before deciding to book one of our wellbeing retreats, you will no doubt have many questions to ask. We’ve tried to cover the most commonly asked ones in our Frequently Asked Questions page but if there is anything that we’ve not covered then please feel free to contact us.

Our 2 most frequently asked questions are ‘What should I bring’ and ‘What do you provide’ so here are our answers:
What should I bring?
- Comfortable clothes for meditation and yoga.
- Comfortable clothes (and shoes) for activities in the house.
- Sturdy shoes for walking around the grounds/countryside. Plus a waterproof jacket would be advisable as we can go walking even if it’s raining a little!
- Something lovely to change into for dinner, if you wish to.
- Swim suit for the hot tub and sauna (& slippers or flip flops)
What do you provide?
We provide: towels, toiletries, bathrobes, hair dryers, yoga mat & block, pens, paper. We also have high speed WiFi throughout the house plus there is a good mobile signal with all networks. We understand the desire for a ‘digital detox’ during your stay but also appreciate the need to be contactable. We like to say although we are ‘secluded’, we are not ‘isolated’.
If you choose to travel to us by train, we are an easy and relaxing 2½ hour journey from either London Kings Cross or Edinburgh, just 2 hours from Manchester and all direct to our local stations (Thirsk and Northallerton) from where we will collect you and return you after your retreat.

For your convenience and ease of use, we’ve provided you with the facility to book and pay online and you can choose to either pay a deposit to secure your place or pay for your retreat in full should you prefer.
Although our online transactions are completely safe and secure and all your data (credit card info etc) is encrypted using the latest technology we understand that not everyone is comfortable with using online payment systems.
So, if you’re at all nervous about this then please call us and we can arrange an alternative. We’re happy to help and we can arrange payment by bank transfer or take your credit/debit card details over the phone. We are also happy to accept payment by cheque if you prefer.
